Church IT · Built by people who've done it

We didn't learn church IT from a manual. We lived it.

Cardinl brings 20+ years on church IT staff and 30+ years supporting nonprofits — from the volunteer booth to the server room to the budget meeting. Whether your church runs a full IT team, a team of one, or no IT staff at all, we meet you where you are.

We've been on the inside

There's a difference between supporting churches and having been a church IT department

Plenty of IT companies will tell you they "work with churches." Fewer have actually sat in the Monday-morning debrief after a livestream went sideways, wrangled a presentation PC minutes before doors open, or explained to a board why the network refresh can't wait another year.

We have. Cardinl's roots are inside churches and nonprofits — not looking in from the outside. When we tell you "this fits your church," it's not a guess. It's experience.

  • The calendar is the boss. Sunday doesn't move. Christmas and Easter don't move. Change windows are Tuesday afternoon, not "whenever."
  • Volunteers are part of the team. Your systems have to be usable by a rotating cast of volunteers, not just full-time staff.
  • Budgets are stewardship. Every dollar spent is a dollar someone gave. We treat it that way.
  • Ministry comes first, tech serves it. The goal was never "great IT." It was a service that runs, giving that works, and a staff that isn't fighting their tools.
One size has never fit all

So we don't pretend it does

Some churches have a full IT department and a five-year plan. Some have one overworked tech person and a stack of volunteers. Some have no IT staff at all. Cardinl is built to slide into any of those — and to change shape as your church changes.

You have a full IT team

When your IT is already strong, we stay out of the way and show up where it helps: a second opinion on architecture, overflow hands for a big project, after-hours coverage, vendor and licensing muscle, or a security tool you'd rather not stand up alone. Depth on the bench, not a takeover.

You have a team of one

If your "IT department" is one staffer and a couple of faithful volunteers, we fill the gaps — escalation when something's over your head, backup when you're out or it's a holiday weekend, and the heavy lifts like migrations and security hardening. You stay in the driver's seat; we make sure you're never stranded.

You have no IT staff

When there's no one on payroll to own technology, we run the whole thing — help desk, devices, network, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, security, backups, and the strategy behind it. One call, one partner, everything covered, so your staff can get back to ministry.

Not sure which one is you? That's a five-minute conversation. Let's talk.

Your call

Be a resource, or run the whole stack

A resource, not a lock-in

Sometimes you don't need a whole managed-services contract — you need a knowledgeable partner for the platforms you already run. We can be that resource for software with the track records to back it up:

  • Microsoft 365 — licensing (including nonprofit pricing), tenant setup, and administration
  • Google Workspace — licensing and admin for the churches built on Google
  • Adobe — Creative Cloud, Acrobat, and Express at education and nonprofit pricing
  • Mosyle — Apple device management (MDM) for your Macs and iPads; we're a Mosyle reseller
  • Security software with proven track records — email & phishing protection, endpoint protection, DNS filtering, MFA, and backup

You keep ownership of your environment. We bring the licensing leverage, the setup, and the answers when you need them.

Or hand us the whole thing

When you want technology off your plate entirely, Cardinl runs the complete stack: help desk and day-to-day support, workstations and mobile devices, network design and management, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, layered security, backup and recovery, and vCIO-level planning so your tech budget maps to your ministry roadmap.

One partner, one invoice, everything covered.

And most churches land somewhere in the middle — that's fine too. Be your reseller, your all-in IT department, or anywhere in between, including a backup provider that quietly stands behind a small internal team.

We speak your stack

Conversant, not just "certified"

Mac and iPad, done right

Creative teams, kids check-in, and staff laptops lean heavily on Apple. We've been an Apple-focused MSP for years — Apple Business Manager, MDM, and shared-device deployment are home turf.

Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace

Whichever platform your church standardized on, we manage it — licensing at nonprofit pricing, security baselines, shared mailboxes, and the migrations when it's time to consolidate.

Networks that survive a full sanctuary

Wi-Fi that holds up with a thousand phones in the room, segmented networks that keep guest traffic away from giving and finance, and hardware sized for how churches actually use it.

Security that fits a ministry

Layered email & phishing protection, MFA, endpoint protection, and backup — set up so volunteers can still get their jobs done. Practical protection, not a fortress no one can use.

Local when it counts

Rooted in the Southeast. Reaching a lot further.

We love being close enough to show up in person when it matters — a cutover weekend, a network install, a hands-on troubleshooting day. But church IT doesn't stop at the county line, and neither do we. We've run client projects as far out as Arizona. Local when local counts, remote-capable when it doesn't — either way, you're talking to the same team that's actually done the work.

Make a smart move with Cardinl

Whether you're staffed up and want a resource on call, running lean and need backup, or starting from scratch with no IT team at all — we'd love to compare notes. No pitch, no obligation. Just a conversation with people who've done the job.

Meeting us at CITN? Come find us — grab a sticker and take a turn at our chess board. We make a move, you make a move, and we talk church IT while the game plays out. A smart move on the board is optional; talking shop is encouraged.

FAQ

Questions church tech folks actually ask

We already have IT staff. What would we even use you for?

Plenty of our best church relationships have capable IT teams. We're the overflow hands on a big project, the after-hours coverage, the second set of eyes on an architecture decision, and the licensing and security muscle that's easier with a partner. We add depth — we don't take over.

We have no IT staff at all. Can you just be our IT department?

Yes. When there's no one on payroll to own technology, we run all of it — help desk, devices, network, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, security, and backup — plus the planning behind it. Your staff gets back to ministry.

Do we have to sign up for full managed services, or can you just help with licensing or one platform?

Either works. We can be a resource for the platforms you already run — Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Adobe, and proven security tools — without a full contract. Or we run the whole stack. Your call, and it can change over time.

Can you get us nonprofit pricing on software?

For qualified churches and 501(c)(3) organizations, yes — Microsoft 365 nonprofit licensing, Google for Nonprofits, and Adobe at education and nonprofit pricing. We handle eligibility and the paperwork.

You're in the Southeast — we're not. Does that matter?

Not usually. We're Southeast-based and we'll travel or work onsite when it counts, but we've supported client projects as far out as Arizona. Most day-to-day work is remote anyway; we make the in-person calls when the job actually needs hands on site.

What makes you different from the big church-IT providers?

We've been church IT staff and nonprofit staff — 20+ and 30+ years respectively. You're not explaining your world to us from scratch. You're talking to people who already understand Sunday's non-negotiable, the volunteer reality, and what it means to spend a ministry's money well.
